A large range of wines to meet every expectation

    Vignobles Denis Lafon excels in traditional winemaking in the French Bordeaux region.

Confirmed by various medals, both our expertise and our terroir's quality have managed to build the reputation of our wines all around the world.

    Vinification :

Prefermentaire maceration at cold temperature (8°C) during 2 to 3 days.

Thermoregulation.

About 4 weeks maceration, with long and regular pumpings.

Malolactic fermentations in vat.

    Breeding :

Barrel filling in December.

20 % new oak barrels, 80 % aged barrels (from 1 to 5 years old).

Ageing 12 months in barrels.

    Wines :

Old vines, from 30 years old. The grapes are harvested at full maturity.

These Cuvées can be drunk young to enjoy the aromas of small red fruits enhance by supple tannins dued to oak barrels'ageing, or older for those who better like old wines complexity.

    Vinification :

Prefermentaire maceration at low temperature during 2 to 3 days.

Fermentations controlled by thermoregulation.

Short vatting in order to keep the aromatic richness and freshness of these wines.

    Breeding :

In vats during 12 months.

Use of "micro bullage" to soften the tannins.

    Wine and meat :

To be drunk all along the meal. Can be served with all courses.

    Wines :

Our youngest vineplants, 4 to 15 years old.

The wines are round, fruity, supple with good length in mouth.

To be drunk when young.

    Vinification :

Cold macerations during 4 to 5 days.

Thermoregulated fermentations, regular and long pumpings.

5 weeks macerations at least.

    Breeding :

Malolactic fermentations in barrels.

Batonnage during one month.

12 months ageing in French oak barrels (50% new barrels).

    Wine and meat :

To be served with roasted meats, venaison, cheese.

    Wines :

The "Grands Vins" are made from the oldest vines, 40 years old and more, mainly Merlot.

Controlled yields to 40 hectoliters per hectare.

Fleshy and powerful wines, concentrated with dark red colour,

will be at its best between 5 to 10 years.

    Vinification :

Prefermentaire maceration of the grapes during 24 hours.

Must racking at 8°c during 2 to 4 days.

Vinifications in new oak barrels.

    Breeding :

In barrels during 6 months.

Batonnage every week during three months.

    Wine and meat :

To be served at aperitive, or with smoked charcuterie, sauced fish, cheese…

    Wines :

The "Grands Vins" are made from the oldest vines, Grapes must be in an excellent sanatory conditions.

Blend of Sauvignon and Sémillon.

Round and rich, with nice toasted aromas, exotic fruits, long in month.

At its best 3 years after crop.

    Vinification :

Prefermenaire macerations during 12 to 24 hours.

Cold must settling during 2 to 3 days.

Thermoregulated fermentations in vat around 18° C.

    Breeding :

In vat, with fine lees pumping over, for 3 to 4 months.

    Wine and meat :

White : Aperitive, seafoods, fish, charcuterie

Rosé : Perfect for summer meals, salads and barbecues

    Wines :

Young vineyard.

These wines are made to enhance fruit aromas and flavours.

White : Sauvignon, sémillon.

Rosé : Merlot, cabernet-sauvignon

    Wine and meat :

To be served with charcuterie, grilled or sauced meats, cheese.
